MLM Reps- “How To Build BIG, In Spite Of Your Friends And Family…”

My family laughed when I said I was going to make it big in mlm but, I don’t blame them. I grew up around the mlm industry and not one of my family or friends ever made much money.

For me, their results gave me 2 reasons to make it happen anyway;
1.  My whole life, “I told you so” has always been a great motivator and since I had watched most of them struggle, I got to see firsthand what didn’t work for them.
2.  I knew, before I even really got started, that if I really wanted to make it big, I’d have to figure out a way to do it, “In spite of my friends and family.”

In the interest of full disclosure, I want to confess, I’ve never made seven figures a year in this business- my personal best is only just over $600,000.00. But, for a once homeless, high school dropout, I consider myself very, very fortunate.

I’ve been voted one of the top trainers and motivators in the mlm industry for years by businessfromhome.org, one of the leading industry websites but, I’ve never made it to the top of the list.

So, if you’re still willing to learn from someone who is still trying to make it over seven figures and crack the top ten for helping others, maybe you’ll take the time to read this article in full and…hopefully share it with others in the business. I believe, the best reason you might read it entirely…

…to borrow a slogan from Avis™, “I’m not #1 but, I try harder.”

The key to building a BIG business in mlm, in my opinion is in the statistics of those who have done so (maybe you’ll consider my stats, maybe not).

Every seven figure earner in this business has some very interesting and very common math;
1.  They all have at least 5+ years experience in the industry. (This math tells me that I have to make that same commitment)
2.  They all have ONLY personally recruited 300-500 people over their entire career. (This math allows me to break down what my weekly and/or monthly targets need to be- so I can eat the elephant one toe nail at a time)
3.  They all have used the exact same, very basic formula over the last 70 years. (This math tells me that their success is calculable NOT luck and that technology, websites, tools, etc have nothing to do with it)

Those 3 points above are the keys, the ONLY keys, that I’ve used to create the modest success I have had so far…today, I’m going to break down how I applied these statistics.

If the every single seven figure earner in this business only personally recruited 300-500 people with a minimum of 5+ years in the business, I only needed to figure out how to enroll someone, anyone, about once a week on average. That’s just 52 people a year.

Most interesting to me is that they all used the same formula, applied with different techniques, meaning some did it with warm market, some with cold market, some with ads, meetings, direct mail, email campaigns, website traffic, etc. The formula is the same 3.1 step recruiting system I’ve been teaching others for 20 years.

Step 1 is learning to create unlimited prospects and then to develop the skill set to properly execute prospecting- learning to get someone’s attention, hold their interest and get them to simply take a look.

Step 2 is learning to be able to present the business in a way that does the same thing as above…or, use someone in my company who can do that powerful presentation.

Step 3 is learning to simply collect a decision, without ‘expecting’ to get a sign up. ‘Expecting’ the sign up will make you sound desperate, you become a salesman- one of the worst things you can do in this business. Simply collecting a decision, either way, allows you to relax, which is far more attractive to your prospect and it allows you to simply focus on mastering steps 1 & 2.

Today, using this same formula, outside my warm market, my wife and I add literally dozens of people every week into our business and you CAN do the exact same thing…in spite of your friends and family.

Every Wednesday evening, I teach others in this industry exactly how to build a system that allows you to use this formula and I do it for FREE because…I believe it’s important that I practice what I teach so I make my money ‘in the field’ not ‘from the field’.
